The result of automobile price reduction will force automobile manufacturers to reduce costs, which also puts forward the requirements of price reduction for die and mould enterprises. In this regard, many automotive die factories think that this is not conducive to die factories, but some die factories think that this is good news. Because automobile factories want to reduce the price of moulds, of course, all moulds including imports and domestic ones. Now the price of domestic moulds is much lower than that of foreign ones. Therefore, automobile factories will change part of the moulds from foreign ones to domestic ones under the requirement of reducing the cost of purchasing moulds. In this way, not only the order of moulds factories will increase, but also the price of this part of moulds will be good. 。
In terms of equipment level, no matter newly-built enterprises or old enterprises that have undergone technological transformation in recent years, a large number of advanced CNC equipment have been purchased, including three-to five-axis high-speed machine tools, large gantry machining centers and CNC milling machines, advanced large-scale measuring and debugging equipment and multi-axis CNC laser cutting machines. As a result, the level and ability of manufacturing automobile panel dies have been greatly improved. Now, the die for all cover parts of mid-grade cars, including the high-difficulty overall sidewall and fender, can be produced in China. The matching moulds and some export moulds for foreign models of joint venture enterprises can also pass the standard acceptance of foreign companies. Some key domestic enterprises have realized the ability of transition from partial parts, middle and low-grade car die to middle and high-grade car die production of whole car parts. Large continuous dies and multi-position progressive dies matched with automatic press have been produced at a high level in China. The gap between domestic and foreign high-end die level is narrowing.
